Used to and to be used to

•Used to digunakan untuk menggambarkan suatu tindakan yang berlangsung beberapa lama dimasa lalu tetapi tindakan itu tidak terjadi lagi pada saat ini. (habitual past)

•Used + to + verb 1 = dulu, dahulu

•To be used to ( to= prepositions) = biasa

•To get used to = membiasakan diri, menjadi biasa

example:

1. I used to smoke ( Now I do not smoke)

2. She used to study Dutch. ( now she doesn’t study Dutch)

3. Marie is used to cold weather ( marie is used to living in a cold climate, because she  has lived in Australia for some years.

4. My cousin moved to California, after a while, she got used to living in a cold weather.
